The Vision of the Opticians Association of Alaska is that all licensed opticians are enthusiastic and involved members, including apprentice and non-apprentice members; we also see members excited about membership through a variety of programs. The OAAK is seen as the “go to” organization for all information about opticianry, licensing, education, public policy, eyewear, etc. for its members, industry, the public and government.
All citizens of Alaska are aware of the duties, responsibilities and value of licensed opticians and the Association is THE resource for quality education for Alaskan opticians. The OAAK is also the recognized spokesperson and political advocate for opticians in our state, and acts as the bridge between the OAA and our organization to ensure our members are up-to-date on issues/programs/policies that may affect them.
The 2013 convention is scheduled for April 26th and April 27th in Anchorage.
